I went to college roughly an hour from the Blue Ridge Mountains but somehow I never made it to Raven’s roost until after I graduated. When I moved back to Richmond, I couldn’t wait to have the opportunity to go back there so I was excited about the opportunity to capture Annika & Sid for their Raven’s Roost engagement session. What I love about Raven’s Roost is how much it makes for a beautiful intimate space. I think that it was the perfect way to capture the love that Annika & Sid have for each other.
Something that sticks out so much about Annika & Sid is how they demonstration a gentleness that makes you feel warm and gush inside. Sid really loved being able to snuggle with Annika and making her feel safe. Every time we had to move to a certain area that may have been a little steep, he made sure that she was able to get around safely. They also both found it so easy to make each other laugh and feel comfortable. I’m just a sucker for when couples are attentive to making sure their partner is safe and cared for. Ugh all the feels. I’m excited to be able to share a few of my favorites from their session. I’m really glad that they were so willing to be able to hike this little mountain with me and enjoy the scenic backdrop of these gorgeous mountains.
Aren’t they just beautiful and don’t you feel all of their love?
Annika and Sid are getting married at the Main Street Station next September and I absolutely can’t wait to be a part of it. I’m always looking forward to being able to capture love authentically.
