Being a wedding photographer here in Virginia brings some of the most beautiful experiences. Virginia is a beautiful state and I love that there’s always more than what my eyes have even seen. The upcoming weeks, I’ll be doing a lot of updating on my blog and sharing some sessions in more places. I’ve been spending a bit of time brainstorming on different topics and I know that I have been slacking in this area for sure! But I did want to start off and share my engagement session with Taylor and L.J. today!
Sunrise Sessions
Something that I absolutely love early morning sessions. It’s kind of interesting that I do when you think about it. I’m not a morning person and it’s also just as hard to get someone on board for doing morning sessions, but when it happens, it’s just a beautiful thing. So when Taylor and L.J. decided they wanted to do their engagement session at sunrise, I was pretty excited about it. We went to Midlothian Mines Park – which is the most ideal location for this time of the year for a quick session. It’s also one of my favorite spots (and also a community favorite). There’s so much to this park that you really could spend hours here.
Taylor & L.J.
Taylor & L.J. are such a beautiful and sweet couple. I learned that they love to go fishing together, watch old Tv shows with Andy Griffith being their favorite, and they teach Sunday school together. L.J. proposed to Taylor at Bugs Island on what Taylor thought was going to be a normal fishing trip! Such an amazing surprise!
Taylor and L.J. are getting married in a month and I am so excited to be able to be the photographer for their wedding! I just know for sure that it is going to be beautiful and Taylor is going to make the most gorgeous bride!
Here are a few favorites from our engagement session. I’m so grateful that they were such troopers that not only got up early with me, but braved the cold winter morning!
