I’m really excited to share Monique and Nile’s Maymont Park engagement session. They became engaged at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in December 2020 during their annual Christmas light event. When I talked to Monique about it she mentioned how despite it being so cold that night, it was so worth it. Fortunately they braced the heat with me at Maymont for their engagement session and we all spent a glorious afternoon together in the sunshine.
Their love for each other showed so beautifully. I was swooning with seeing the wonderful connection between Monique and Nile and their photographs from our time spent together shows this beautiful spark. Monique couldn’t contain her lovely smile as she stood with Nile, and the two of them spent the whole afternoon bursting into spontaneous laughter together. This kind of love, which is underlined with such fun and friendship, is the sort that translates so well into their photos and I hope Monique and Neil love the outcome as much as I do.
Along with their gleaming smiles, the two of them looked gorgeous side by side in their sky blue outfits. Monique was dressed in an elegant dress matched with a lovely, detailed necklace and earrings and Nile looked dapper in a pressed shirt and tie. The combination of their lovely look paired with the beautiful setting of Maymont Park was the recipe for a gorgeous shoot – the type of couple and location that make my ‘work’ as a photographer so easy and fun!
You can only begin to imagine how incredible Monique and Nile will look on their wedding day together! I’m excited that I have the opportunity to be the photographer for their wedding day! They are getting married at the Westin in March so it’s less than four months away!
