I’m really glad that I have the opportunity to share my session with Maymont Park engagement session with Toya & Ryan! When I first talked with Toya and Ryan when they booked me this summer, Toya told me that she and Ryan met in high school and decided down the road to start dating.  It’s kind of similar to how me and my husband’s story is, so I really enjoy connected with other couples that have been a part of each other’s lives for years, even if they weren’t dating the entire time.  What is also crazy is as we finished our session we found out that the three of us all had the same alma mater! It is definitely a small world.

Ryan proposed to Toya at Saudé Creek Vineyards this summer after having a good friend of hers take her there for the afternoon.  Ryan showed up and asked her to marry him and of course she said yes! Surprise proposals like that are so thoughtful and memorable!

For our session, we went to Maymont Park and went over to Brown’s Island/Belle Isle until a bit after sunset. You all  know I love Maymont Park engagement sessions, because there’s so much opportunity there.

We had to make a little adventure of our session due to the event held at Brown’s Island, but it was definitely worth it to be able to hit the back trails. I loved the outfits that the chose. Their first went along with their wedding colors and they looked absolutely STUNNING.  I know that when it comes to their wedding day, they will definitely be turning heads.

Toya and Ryan’s love was so evident during their session and I’m so excited to being able to celebrate with them at the Mill at Fine Creek in July!
