I’ve never taken the time to really share who I am – yet I want you to know more about me.  In order for that to happen, I should share more about myself, right?

My “About Me” section just isn’t enough.  Yes, it shares a mini snippet of my interests and how I got started – but it doesn’t give the impression of everything there is to know about JaQuayla Cameron. It’s going to change, starting today.  Every Tuesday, I will be sharing some things about myself that you may or may not know – the topics are endless. If you have any suggestions on what you want to know about myself, don’t hesitate to ask. I actually will ask at the end of every post if there is anything you do what to know. 😉

Every Friday I will be sharing something photography related.  Again, this opens the floor to endless possibilities.  Anything you want to know?  Ask!  I’ll treat this just like my personal posts!

So Who Is JaQuayla?

I’m like an onion.  There are so many things about myself that I even have to think in order to completely unfold.  I’m not crazy (figured I’d give that disclaimer) – just different.

I grew up as a tomboy – so this above picture (Taken by Bulloss Photography btw, who is AWESOME) is such a shock to people that I’ve known growing up. I used to want to be a boy (now I’m really glad I’m not), so I hated dressing up, wearing makeup, and whatever else constituted as girly-ness. As a matter of fact, to this day I would love to wear hoodies and sweatpants all day everyday.  To put my hair in a ponytail. I really don’t like wearing heels.  However, there are those days where I want to look nice and I bring it up a notch.

I love working out…

It takes some effort to get there – but once I’m there and once I’m done, I’m in heaven (Endorphins baby!).

I love sports…

I love being able to just sit around and spend time with a group of guys and talk about sports. I actually like being able to sit around and NOT talk about guys – how cute they are, etc.  I feel that’s best done when you’re with a group of guys, right? haha.  No, but seriously I love sports so much and it is pretty sad that I haven’t been able to keep up with it nearly as much as I used to.  I’ve played basketball for years and I still love to play pick-up from time to time.  I’m a big New York Giants fan.  I’m a New York Yankees fan.  I’m a Syracuse Orange fan.  Los Angeles Lakers fan. I love Derrick Rose.  Lastly, I’m a Russell Wilson fan.

I love to laugh…

oh I really love to laugh.  While I enjoy spending time with so many different types of people – the ones that I enjoy spending most of my time with are the ones that I can have deep conversations with and those that can make me laugh hysterically.  I love to watch things that make me laugh.  Kevin Hart and Chris Rock are my favorite comedians.

I love ice cream…

Yes. Yes. Yes.  Ice cream is just my guilty pleasure.  It’s my comfort food.  I could eat my emotions away with ice cream.  My favorite is Haagen Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond.  I also really like White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.  I just really like ice cream.  I jokingly tell my friends that if a guy were to propose to me with Ice Cream – he’d get an automatic yes.  But to be completely honest, I’m a little serious.  I hope I get proposed to with ice cream.  I never could come up with a solid bucket list until I came across this list of the 21 best ice cream shops in America If I could get to all 21, I would feel as though I’ve accomplished something great.  I basically just lost track by discussing my love for ice cream – it happens 😉

I love using ellipses… 

I actually use it a lot in conversational writing – I actually use it from time to time in my blogs.  I do not know where the habit came from, but I’m sure it is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Mostly, I love Jesus Christ…

I could go on and on about how much the things that I have mentioned before has grown me to love the Lord even more. It’s like – He has given me those things and created them as just a small portion of a display of His love for me.  I mean, He sacrificed His life just for me. Because of that, I can’t help but love Him in return. This sounds so generic – but my relationship with Him is serious to me.  I don’t think I could be anywhere without Him. Actually I know I wouldn’t. I’d be a mess.

Well, here is just a beginning randomized snippet.  All of my blogs in the future will be more topical focused.  Anything specific you’d like to know?  Seriously, don’t hesitate to ask. =)
