Okay, I am REALLY excited about posting this blog!  Why? 

1. It’s the first engagement session that I have shot since I upgraded from the Canon t2i to the Canon 6d.

2. Travis and Laura are AWESOME!

3. I love cloudy sessions!

Laura contacted me a few weeks ago after searching around for a photographer for her and Travis’ wedding next year.  We talked for a bit and figured that we were definitely going to be a great fit!   The days leading up to our session were definitely nerve wrecking as it had been raining so much and it was also forecasted for rain the day of.  I cannot tell you how many times I have checked the weather to see if anything would change.  Luckily, it did a bit as it rained the morning of (and for a little bit during our session).  But for the most part it was very cloudy and for the most part not raining.

We went to Pony Pasture in Richmond and really utilized the amazing river view, but also the great trails surrounding the James.   Travis and Laura are definitely one of the sweetest couples that I have met.  They are so down to earth and obviously super photogenic! 

Anyways, I’ll stop rambling and show you some of my favorites from the day!
